this does not apply for all. Your language is very special in this ;-)
en-GB is handled like en-US by msg* tools. Can you please try with
different LANG settings? There was a discussion about this somewhere.

New strings are untranslated (at least for e.g. Czech ;-).

I suppose that when the solver tarballs are ready, this could be much
easier than now. Right now, creating language packs is better done via
building from source.
