Cheers, Anousak -----Original Message----- From: Javier SOLA [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thursday, March 10, 2005 11:05 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [l10n-dev] m84 in Khmer Hi, Today we have finally been able to get 680_m84 working in Khmer, next week we will also integrate the help (in its final check). From now to the moment of the official release of 2.0 we will put all our strength into developing training materials for OOo 2.0 in Khmer. It is great to see the result of over 7 months of work. I would like to wholeheartedly thank Pavel, Eike, Ivo, Frank, Herbert and a bunch of other people in or out of Sun who have helped us build our dream of having the basic tools for final users in Khmer BEFORE Microsoft get theirs (long before, they have not started), and have a real possibility of having more people use OOo in Cambodia than MS Office. As there are still problems with Indic rendering for OOo 2.0, we have started with the Windows version. There is a small problem that I would like to share, as it might affect other localisations. With the Native Windows installer, OOo cannot be directly installed in languages that are not recognised by the Windows system (unfortunatelly Khmer is one of them). We had to create an English-Khmer language pack (well... Pavel did, as with everything else), install the basic OOo build in English, and then install the bilingual English pack (the installation procedure is in English)... then change the language to Khmer in OOo and close (including quickstart)... and then it came out in Khmer. If there is any simplification on this, I will comment here.
