What you need to do to work out where strings come from is run podebug
(http://translate.sourceforge.net/wiki/toolkit/podebug) on the set of PO
files, that's what 'tagging' refers to, and then do a build using a GSI
generated from those PO files.
Then you can see when you run the application that each string has a
little tag on it showing which module it comes from.
One other question: is there a working repository system (maybe
Pootle?) that several people can easily be given write access to and
that we can make use of? We've got a solid glossary and about 10% of
Pavel's .po file bundle translated-but-needing-proofreading, but it'd
make things easier if coordinating different people's work happened
semi-automatically.
I started setting up a Pootle server on http://pootle.arsaperta.org/
Charles has been asking me on the status and I've been leaving his
emails marked "Reply soon" .... needs some improvement to the
administration of setting up CVS sources etc.
But if you want to use it I can set it up for your language if you let
me know where the files are. You just would have to manage committing to
CVS etc yourself.
