Actually, lingucomponent has already a working solution for language
guessing (it was a Google SOC project), which is now being

That was exactly the component I was talking about. It is integrated by
a developer of my team. :-)
Great, I thought you weren't aware of that (I think it's based more on
ngrams, but let's skip the internals).
Anyway, changing the text language according to the system keyboard
language will upset all the people that write in English on localized
OSes (like me). That's a bad idea.
