We also developed a spellchecker and sent in april 2007 to OOo..

After a long time without any answer we decided to send it again (july
2007):

That time, we received an answer: "it's on review and trying to
introduce it in 2.4".. but 2.4 past, 2.4.1 is on the way, .... , I think
that the review takes a lot of time ;) but we expect to see integrated
in 3.0 (please :) )
As an alternative, I suggest you to send it to lingucomponent manager to
be available in the installation wizard:
