If "Exit QuickStarter" does not help, try to delete a cache file.

 1. Open a folder
  e.g: C:\Documents and Settings\tora\Application
Data\OpenOffice.org2\user\registry\cache

If a folder "Application Data" is not shown, choose an option
"Show hidden files and folders" in the tab View of Tools - Folder Options...
of Explorer. The folder is normally hidden by default.

 2. Delete a file org.openoffice.Office.Common.dat from the folder.

 3. Start OpenOffice.org. The file org.openoffice.Office.Common.dat
    will be automatically created.

Background
OpenOffice.org reads human readable configuration files in XML format
upon its startup and interprets what is written in the file and then
store the contents in binary format in the cache folder for later use.

Kind Regards,
Tora
