unfortunately that's when it would be most valuable to me and other
non-professional contributors...
That would be ideal if we could have a 24/7 support here through the
community. I had a nice weekend in the sun and on the pool so I did not
felt the urge to be in front of a PC. ;)
all too understandable. note that i'm not talking about support, but
rather about development discussions.
so the same ritual commences every weekend: /me posts 10000 messages,
and on monday everybody thinks "what a jerk, talking to himself all the
time, let's ignore him" :-D
Please, that is not true.
i know, i was joking.
The mailings are now in the archive and we can
read them. Normally it takes a while to give responses to a massive
patch mails. BTW please use the issue tracker in future.
i'm aware of this policy to feed patches into bugzilla. however, i have
two concerns with that:
a) bugzilla seems to be write-only in large parts.
b) i don't consider my patches to be industry-strength yet. being new to
lenya development and java in general, i'd rather get some feedback (in
a more detailed and verbose form than the bugzilla replies) and improve
my skills. it would be a very bad idea indeed to clutter the issue
tracker with "newbie training", given that we already have so many open
bugs for such few eyeballs.
