236 open bugs, roughly half of them enhancements, many are probably
stale, but still...
unfortunately, there is usually very little feedback for or discussion
about bugzilla entries, and some ideas and/or fixes just die somewhere
in the queue. it seems that quite a few areas in the code are
unmaintained or their creators are MIA. this is a little frustrating
sometimes.
for outside contributors like me, more guidance and feedback would be
helpful. i learn a lot from reading the code, but you can't always
correctly infer design goals from reading code, especially not if it's
sprinkled with "TODO" comments...
