to summarize:
proposed hackathon date is july 11-13 in zurich, switzerland.
jann is volunteering to get us a room at the university of zurich, and
is currently waiting for more feedback until next wednesday.
current list of participants:
thomas comiotto
jann forrer
andreas hartmann
jörn nettingsmeier
michael wechner
current list of remote participants:
richard frovarp
doug chestnut
/me volunteers to set up a video link based on ogg theora for the
remmote partipants, provided a fast machine can be obtained in zurich
and there is a stable uplink of at least 500kbit/s.
remote participants could use IRC to contribute - local attendants would
see their postings on a screen and could just speak without having to
type. (we've been doing stuff like that at the past linux audio
conferences, and it's been fun and quite productive.)
should we announce this meeting on the users list? i'm all for it, but i
wanted to hear your opinions before tackling it.
if we do, it should be made clear that the focus is on 1.4 development
and future plans, and that there is not going to be an installfest or
user tutorials. (not that it wouldn't be nice, but that's for later
imho, when we've proceeded on our way to web domination :)
best,
jörn
