- management of frontend users in backend
If you have more than a couple (say, 100) of frontend users, I'd
suggest not to use Lenya's user management but to integrate Lenya in
an SSO infrastructure. The SVN repository contains a Shibboleth
integration branch which was donated by the University of Zurich. It
is based on Lenya 1.2. It shouldn't be too difficult to port it to
2.0, one of the developers or companies supporting Lenya will
certainly offer this as a service.
you might also want to consider LDAP. AFAIK this is already supported by
Lenya.

That's no problem at all, Lenya 2.0 was designed to be enhanced with
custom modules.
I hope this helps,
