ToDo:
- install mod_proxy_ajp on the zone
- setup the httpd configuration for proxying
I filed a bug for the infrastructure team requesting the
installation of
mod_proxy_ajp. I have no idea if and when this will be done. If we
want to
switch in the near future, I guess we have to use Jetty/Tomcat
without proxy.
IMO mod_proxy is sufficient for the job why do you want mod_proxy_ajp?
I experienced the following problems with mod_proxy:
"With this setup, your browser might show error messages like "You
have requested an encrypted page that contains some unencrypted
information" when accessing a page with the https protocol. This is
because Apache always connects to Lenya with the http protocol, so
Lenya doesn't know that it should use https links to include images
etc. on this page. This problem won't occur if you use the
mod_proxy_ajp approach."
But I guess it should be possible to get a decent setup with mod_proxy
nevertheless. mod_proxy_ajp is just much more comfortable. Maybe I'll
find the time to set up mod_proxy during the next days. Of course any
help is greatly appreciated.

Since it would be just for us, I think we can handle those messages.
