trying ... 10 min later ... now it works!

How do you access the navigation title of the hidden document?
We use the navigation module
(http://lenya.apache.org/docu20/standardmodules/navigation.html) and it only
delivers the site:link element (which holds the label) for visible items. I
solved this by having the node visible but ignore it in the main navigation.
