I'm sorry but I forgot to tell you. (and update the documentation)
I have added the parameter invisilble to the siteFragmentGenerator in the
2_1_X branch.

If the value is true you'll get the labels even if  the nodes are
invisible.
If you use the current 2.1.x branch this should work.

(Before  I didn't render (visible) doucuments with id's starting with - in
navigation menus )
