We have been using hunspell on OOo 1.9.x to recognize Nepali words (with its UTF-8) support in our debian-based system and it has been able to check the spelling of Nepali words in a very good fashion. We have a dictionary of 12000 words and 23 affix rules, which is not yet complete. We will finish making the complete dictionary and the affix file within a few days time. We are still in the testing phase and will give you more feedback as we progress.
