>- see footer for list info -< Previously I have only ever used Win 2000 Pro and vowed I would never change to XP but the 2000 installation went tits up and i finally gave XP a chance. What a donkey! I have a laptop for development. Win XP SP 2 CFMX 7 developer's edition SQL Server 2000 SP 3a I was always get the following error while trying to connect to datasources via cfadmin. [Macromedia][SQL Server JDBC Driver]Error establishing socket. Connection refused: connect Googling a bit there are several possible solutions on the forums and many didn't work but one did. (installing SQL SP3a, an SQL critical service pack, allowing TCP/IP in SQL, XP SP2 firewall stopping connections, etc) This worked: I had to make an ODBC connection in Windows then use the CF ODBC Socket to connect to that. So it works but not how it should. Does anyone know why CF is doing that? Did anyone have the same problem and solve it? Allan _______________________________________________
