>- see footer for list info -< Going with what you have here, with no WHERE clause, the amount of records updated will be the same amount of rows in the relevant table.
So a simple SELECT COUNT(*) FROM myTable will give you the amount of rows updated. Also, if it were in an SP you could send back the rows effected to CF, just as QA does it. The query goes something like: <cfquery datasource="mydatabase" name="myquery"> UPDATE myTable SET myField = "x" </cfquery> Is there a way to find the number of rows affected by the query (query analyser manages it somehow)? Thanks, dom _______________________________________________ For details on ALL mailing lists and for joining or leaving lists, go to http://list.cfdeveloper.co.uk/mailman/listinfo -- >- Hosting provided by www.cfmxhosting.co.uk -< >- Forum provided by www.fusetalk.com -< >- DHTML Menus provided by www.APYCOM.com -< >- Lists hosted by www.Gradwell.com -< >- CFdeveloper is run by Russ Michaels, feel free to volunteer your help -< This e-mail is from Reed Exhibitions (Oriel House, 26 The Quadrant, Richmond, Surrey, TW9 1DL, United Kingdom), a division of Reed Business, Registered in England, Number 678540.
