Hi Gene

In the XML world, xPath would be what you need to use to pinpoint specific
elements within an XML.

But I assume you are using CF? If so, take a look at the xmlSearch function
.

But for some general info on XML/XSL (including xPath) theres a great
tutorial at http://www.w3schools.com/xsl/

Subject: [CF-Dev] Searching XML Document Structures

>- see footer for list info -<
Morning All,

I am integrating a PSP for a customer it is a multiple stage process which
returns data at each stage in XML Documents.

Now to process each stage to determine the next step I have to locate and
validate certain Child Elements and this is where my problem arises, these
Child Elements are located in different Nodes and my question is;

Can I search an XML Document from the Root to locate an Child Element (not
the data but the actual element)?

Many Thanks In Advance
Gene
