>- see footer for list info -< Hi all
I've done this a million times but this time I've missed something! Trying to setup a datasource to point to a named instance on a SQL server box. I've checked everything I can think of, in the administrator I have servername\instance name, I have the port set to correctly match the port for the named instance as shown in the sql server server network utility. I've restarted the server, I've been able to telnet to the database box on the correct IP/port address. Network guys have double checked the firewall - so I've run out of ideas. I have another database on the same server (different instance to which I can connect fine). Checked the user name and password and they can connect fine but I still get the following error (CFMX7, SQL 2000) Connection verification failed for data source: xxxxxxxx java.sql.SQLException: [Macromedia][SQLServer JDBC Driver][Macromedia][SQLServer JDBC Driver]The requested instance is either invalid or not running. The root cause was that: java.sql.SQLException: [Macromedia][SQLServer JDBC Driver][Macromedia][SQLServer JDBC Driver]The requested instance is either invalid or not running. Anything else I can try? Thanks Kola _______________________________________________ For details on ALL mailing lists and for joining or leaving lists, go to http://list.cfdeveloper.co.uk/mailman/listinfo -- CFDeveloper Sponsors:- >- Hosting provided by www.cfmxhosting.co.uk -< >- Forum provided by www.fusetalk.com -< >- DHTML Menus provided by www.APYCOM.com -< >- Lists hosted by www.Gradwell.com -< >- CFdeveloper is run by Russ Michaels, feel free to volunteer your help -<
