I generally do 800 x 600 for web sites, 1024 x 768 for intranets/backend
systems.
As more and more devices become internet enabled, you have to assume that
people may be browsing your site in lower resolutions. Your average numpty
is probably more likley to be using a set top box as these become more
common in the home.
So I guess it depends what type of site your designing. If it is for Joe
Public, then you need to enable the "numpty compensator", if it is for the
more decerning public, such as the I.T. savvy, then you can turn off the
"numpty comptensator".

Just out of interest, I usually design websites with only one design and for
800 x 600.

After recently researching that 77% of surfers have 1024 x 768 or greater I
was wondering how you design your sites.

Would a few of you mind sending through an answer.

A. 800 x 600
B. 1024 x 768
C: More than one screen resolution design
D: Other

Thanks
Allan
