Welcome to the true enlightenment and escape from the dark-side. ;)

As Kola's already said - you can use mod_rewrite in Apache with
CF.  If you're on an IIS server then I can strongly recommend Ionic's
ISAPI rewrite [1]
for building rewrite rules on IIS.

It all works exactly the same as if you were using PHP as your application
language.
