>- see footer for list info -< Greetings chaps,
I have a site that current has static imagemaps of locations, where you click on an area of the image to drill down to specific sub areas, and as you do so the search results are filtered according to where you click. So you start off clicking on for example northwest France, which filters the results to show all properties in northwest france, you then click on Normandy, and the results are then filtered by this sub area. Client wants this functionality replaced with googlemaps. I have only done pretty simple stuff with googlemaps to date, nothing really interactive, so does anyone know if this is actually possible before I invest time in it? With the image maps of course I know the areas that are being clicked on and know what values will come back on the links, but with googlemaps the user could be clicking anywhere in any area and I have no idea what data I might get back, which probably won't match the area and sub areas I am expecting. So I have a feeling I would have to rewrite the whole search system to work with google references instead.
