Thanks for all that, BMK, particularly the EULA links.

Yes, I did look very briefly at the ehcache option, but didn't 
immediately find a Windows version/client for it. Perhaps I should look 
closer, as it may well be better documented than memcached for CF.

I had already viewed Rob's stuff, but, although interesting per se, I 
was still searching for memcached stuff.
