SVN is the most mainstream, but GIT is gaining popularity and has some advantages of being more flexible. I can only really give first hand knowledge of SVN because that is what we use as a team. I would recommend the 'subclipse' plugin for eclipse which will then integrate SVN right into your development process. It is useful to adopt a branching and release strategy once you are up and running with SVN and if you are interested I can outline what we use here, although there are several different ways to approach it. hope that helps as a start.
