Allan,

The filemanager was never meant to be enabled and has since been disabled in
recent patches as it causes a security risk on the server.
I would suggest downloading the standalone edition of ckeditor if you want to
use the filemanager rather than CFTEXTAREA.

Afternoon,

I am using the rich text editor that comes with CF8 (CKEditor - was FCKEditor)
I have enabled the uploading of files via the editor and this works.

I now want to change the default directory /UserFiles/ to a custom directory.
I have tried changing config.cfm in connectors, also in upload and I have tried
setting <cfset application.UserFilesPath = "/mydirectory/">

nothing seems to change the default. (I have restarted CF several times after
changes)

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Allan
