The viral qualities of the GPL really turn me off - if some corporation wants to pick up RedRacer and modify it for their needs internally (or even as a public-facing project), I think they should be able to do so. Going with a BSD or Apache license hasn't ever stopped people from contributing to OSS projects before, and it's much more liberal (and useful, I'd argue). You can also read the whole thing in one sitting, and understand it without a lawyer ;).
