surely depends on the budget, required stability etc... if you demand uptime, then its oracle running on unix... otherwise maybe sql server on the windows (but you'll never have that stability but you have most of the features) or mysql if you don't need things the advanced functionality you pays your money and you takes your choice... ;o)
