That's the javascript solution.
What you could do is have two input type="image" submit buttons, and use some Coldfusion on the page you submit to, to work out if the user just wants to reset. Too intensive really, as you only want to clear the form fields, not go to another page then go back to the original page, to achieve the same aim. Personally I don't like Reset buttons, and reckon most forms wouldn't lose anything by removing them: http://www.useit.com/alertbox/20000416.html You could do: <script language="Javascript"> <!-- document.write('<input type="image" src="myimage.gif" alt="submit me" onClick=document.form.reset();>'); //--> </script> <noscript> <input type="Reset"> </noscript> which should only display the img button for javascript enabled users, and a lovely grey button for those with no javascript.
