Hi Paul.... (your not a dumbass!)

Installing a DB in SQL Server is a piece of piss :-) If you need to learn
first off, just use the Enterprise Manager. You can expand the left column
and then right-click > new database. From there you can either import a
backup db or you can begin creating a new one.

Remember to use the Query Analyser etc..!

If you need a hand, mail me offlist and I will help you. You best bet with
SQL Server is really to just browse the online docs, as you are unlikely to
be going any deeper than creating and modifying a DB.

Neil

Thanks for all the help again (positive & negative).

Yes I am a dumb ass as I have never used SQL server before. I did ask
earlier for the best manual to read up before I installed. I guess I'll
have to have a read up in the on line docs.

If anyone has an idiots guide to installing a new database I would
appreciate it.

Regards - Paul
