Do you know what was used to generate the rtf document?

Is it always the same tool?

If so, you can probably match the last part of the header block and work
forwards from there to find the start of the displayed portion of the
document.

If you don't know what tool is going to be used to generate the
document, it's going to be a bit of a nightmare to manually parse as
every one that I've worked with seems to create the rtf slightly
differently.
