Sounds interesting. I am just getting into Flash but when I did this I had never touched it. Now I may well do it with flash instead. This doesn't take up too much resources as it is only done once when the user logs on. The image is then kept in a "generated" folder.
Look forward to seeing the demo. -----Original Message----- From: Taz -=TT=- [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: 29 November 2002 17:26 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [ cf-dev ] Generating text on the fly > Yeah you can, I do it to create a custom image for each person who > enters the site, using a fancy font you see. CFXImage is okay for that, but you're having to create a lot of stuff on the server which is resource intensive. I recently built a site that needed dynamic titles in Geometric 415, so we came up with a neat flash solution. Which is great because all you do is pass the title to the flash movie... no mucking around with building images. I can't give you the address of the site because its still in NDA and that sort of thing. But I'll stick up a demo somewhere in a minute.
