We have almost all the MX books now, and I was disappointed to see that
CFC's are really not dealt with IN-DEPTH as much as I thought they would
be.

People were so excited about them, then they went and wrote a bunch of
books and barely devoted 20-30 pages to them. AND there's a TON to be
discussed, tweaked and learned from CFC's from the little I've been
following on a few of the programming lists.

So far out of the following books (that at least go over CFC's):

Mastering CFMX
ColdFusion MX Developer's Handbook
ColdFusion MX Advanced Development (forta)
ColdFusion MX WACK (forta)
ColdFusion MX The Complete Reference
The CFMX Reference guides that come with CFMX

The best references are the 2 Forta books, with the AD one a bit better
than the WACK ... And the guides that come with CFMX. The guides are
available as PDF downloads off of the Macromedia site ... So if you
don't want to spend a dime and take a look first ... You might want to
check that out.

Otherwise, my opinion, get the Forta books.

As a side note, there is a book out there where Matt Liotta wrote the
chapter on CFC's. He of course said it was the end-all, be-all of a CFC
guide. I was trying to find the name of it ... And I can't....

There's also a ton of books YET to be published, several written by some
top GURU's and I'm looking forward to getting a few more. ;)

Yes, I'm a book fiend.

Another resource: www.cfczone.org for CFC stuff.

I see there are a lot of CFMX books on Amazon so I wanted to ask which
was the best / most comprehensive book.
Preferably one with plenty about cfcomponents.

We are based in Spain and cannot browse through shop copies to find a
decent one.

Thanks.
Allan
