BUT - since the original request was to transfer a database from SQL
2000 to SQL (9)7, then he must know that the 2000 functionality won't be
there... Thus transferring data should be fine

Quickest and simplest solution is to have a SQL 2000 server and SQL 7
server running and use DTS

Then you can ask it to transfer only the relevant information in the
selections
