Well, I haven't used the Mac version (it's used by the beret wearing designer...), so don't know what options you've got. Ahh, thanks for the info. He's e-mailed me a .psd which opens fine in Fireworks MX. I'm tempted to say "stuff it" to Freehand and just use the .psd, as anything he sends is going to end up in Fireworks anyway.
