I recall a similar connectivity issue. May be way off but mine was sourced
back to the use of a hostname rather than an IP on the ODBC. May be worth
trying?

Subject: [ cf-dev ] Argghhh ODBC CFMX - Help!

Hi,
I am using win2k cfmx sql server and notes 4.6.7 client on my development
server.

I am trying to confugure a new connection to a notes database using the
lotussql3.0 driver.
I have configured the system DSN as service_directory in the ODBC panel on
the server
In the CFMX administrator I use the odbc socket selection and call it
service_directory.
I always get this error ....

Connection verification failed for data source: service_directory
[]java.sql.SQLException: SQLException occurred in JDBCPool while
attempting to connect, please check your username, password, URL,
      and other connectivity info.
The root cause was that: java.sql.SQLException: SQLException
occurred in JDBCPool while attempting to connect, please check your
username, password, URL, and other connectivity info.

Which I think is the pretty standard error. I think this has something to
do with Win2K accounts and password stuff.
Can anyone help me with this as I am pulling my hair out ........I should
also say this is all working ok on CF4.5.

Whats going on with MX? - Arrrghhhh

Regards - Paul
