one presentation AND no meetings for the whole summer? Let me fist say that
I'm not trying to make any waves and that I follow a "When in Rome, do as
the Romans do" belief. That said, I do want to mention that if Niklas is
interested in scheduling/organising more CFUGS and enough people are
interested in having them more frequently, I'm more than willing to
committing to presenting on a regular basis (so niklas can rest assured that
the CFUGs aren't lacking material/presentors). In DC, I was used to giving
at least one CFUG presentation a month at anywhere from one to five
different CFUGs... so I'm no stranger to putting together and giving
presentations.

Sorry to jump in so late...
There is already a redsky launch planned (I know as I am giving the MM side
of things) and published on the ukcfug.org site (I have no idea where the
newsletter mails have gone, Niklas?)

It is set for the 21st of august at the usual venue (UCL) and should be up
to its usual thing. Now as for meetings in the UK they are somewhat
different to the US as we normaly have only one presentation as we can not
drink in the venue so we keep it short and to the point so that we can get
out to some socialising at the bar (just around the corner).

In the past this has worked well for us but I am sure that Niklas would love
to hear your thoughts!

OK - I've been waiting quietly for a London CFUG since I've landed in the
UK. No big deal, but with the release this week of ColdFusion MX 6.1, I
think it's very important that we schedule one ASAP. I will volunteer to
give a presentation on the new features in ColdFusion MX 6.1. I know there
was talk about a CFC best practices presentation - I'll give a presentation
on that as well. All of the CFUG meetings I've ever attended in the States
(over 50 meetings) usually consists of 2-3 presentations, which means at
most we just need one more presentor and for the manager (Niklas, right?) to
do the scheduling bit, and we're all set. Can we all agree on this, set a
date in the near future, and make it happen?
