Sorry to jump in so late... There is already a redsky launch planned (I know as I am giving the MM side of things) and published on the ukcfug.org site (I have no idea where the newsletter mails have gone, Niklas?)
It is set for the 21st of august at the usual venue (UCL) and should be up to its usual thing. Now as for meetings in the UK they are somewhat different to the US as we normaly have only one presentation as we can not drink in the venue so we keep it short and to the point so that we can get out to some socialising at the bar (just around the corner). In the past this has worked well for us but I am sure that Niklas would love to hear your thoughts!
