It is my understanding that the web services part of flash remoting is still set to false (disabled) in the web.xml file.
We are using apache 2 and so I don't know if they are any differences between how the updater works between 1.3.x and 2.0.x. I'll try and connect 6.1 to Apache on the linux box at the moment its using JRUN's internal web server. We're still using Apache 1.3.x so need to recompile the connector on an upgrade. I think it's rather daft that when you're trying to minimse downtime on an upgrade, MM make you install the upgrade, _then_ get the connector source (after un-archiving the appropriate jar files to get at it), checking through the compile instructions for the appropriate version etc etc etc... Also, in updater 3, the default setting for allowing flash remoting calls was "off" -- is this reset in 6.1?
