Hmm, well I did the install, restarted CF and everything seemed to work straight off -- no connector changes etc... :o\ I guess the new stuff is backwards compatible, but there might be changes to the code so I'll find and install it anyway... > The livedocs for the install/upgrade say that the linux > installer should be called "coldfusion-61-lin.bin" but > the one I downloaded is coldfusion-macr-linux.bin I ran what I had and it worked, so I guess the livedocs are wrong. Also, there appeared to be hardly any information regarding upgrading from 6.0 to 6.1 -- you have to pick out the appropriate bits. The only bit specifically for upgrading in http://livedocs.macromedia.com/coldfusion/6.1/htmldocs/install4.htm is point 12: "(Update from ColdFusion MX) Copy the files in the backup directory that you specified when running the installer back into your ColdFusion MX directory structure. Ensure that files from the backup directory tree overwrite any files with the same name in the ColdFusion MX directory structure. " Now was it just me or was there no "backup directory that you specified when running the installer", therefore no backup files to copy back into the directory structure?
