Got a site hosted on IIS 4 which is most of the time very slow to load. Pages done in Coldfusion, hosted on the same server as most of our other sites. No differences in how it's been setup in IIS or CF. Pages are pretty simple, two or three simple queries which perform in normal time. The real delay is caused by the images that load in. Not particularly large images, mostly things like spacer gifs etc, I think all under 10K, but taking seconds to load in.
On a sub-section of this site which uses lots of 1 pixel gifs, the page sometimes never loads, or seems to take an eternity. I've noticed similar problems reported with ASP pages, but couldn't find any resolution to this. Short of removing the site from IIS and re-adding it, which might fix it? Suggestions?
