I bought this project proposal toolkit which has all the default
templates you need for quotations, project planning, documentation and
all that, it's quite good.
For sizable projects we the old flow diagram, create a basic wireframe
type site in our framework and give client a working model. We then
split everything up into modules (as that's how the framework works
anyway) and treat each module as a mini project, scoping it's
requirements and features seperately and quoting on development time and
cost. This allow sthe client to add extra funding and time to individual
modules as and when they want rather on the project as a whole.
