Hi Sandeep, No, you don't need ColdFusion for Flash Communication Server - totally separate, although for a rich internet application and if you want databases then you'll need Flash Remoting which comes with CF or you can buy separately.
If you just want text chat, then Flashcom may be overkill - it's certainly very easy and flexible but is expensive for a simple text-based chat, Cheers, Ross ------------------------------------------------------- RAWNET LIMITED - Internet, New Media and ebusiness Gurus Visit our new website at http://www.rawnet.com for more information about our company, or call us anytime on 01344 393 040. ------------------------------------------------------- Ross Williams Managing Director, Rawnet Limited Direct Phone : +44 (0) 1344 393 440 Switchboard : +44 (0) 1344 393 040 ------------------------------------------------------- This message may contain information which is legally privileged and/or confidential. Only flash communication server 1.5 needed? How is the general experience with flash communication server been? I am in the process of investigating various chat softwares and come across the flash communication server chat components.
