Hi Sandeep,

No, you don't need ColdFusion for Flash Communication Server - totally
separate, although for a rich internet application and if you want
databases then you'll need Flash Remoting which comes with CF or you can
buy separately.

If you just want text chat, then Flashcom may be overkill - it's
certainly very easy and flexible but is expensive for a simple
text-based chat,

Cheers,

Ross

Subject: [ cf-dev ] flash communication server

Hi,
needed to confirm that we do not need coldfusion mx installed to have
flash communication server and components running right? Only flash
communication server 1.5 needed?
How is the general experience with flash communication server been? I am
in the process of investigating various chat softwares and come across
the flash communication server chat components.
Any feedback on these components like easy to modify, stablility would
be helpful...

Thanks,
Sandeep
