Ok thanks - tried doing that and then reverted back to the original error
about not being able to save the message to disk
searched MM forums and found nothing on this also - not sure what else to
try now

Richard,
As someone else just hinted (though did not explicitly say)
you need to put quotes around the file name you're building.
The error message is caused by the \ (reverse solidus)
which in context is the integer division operator.
