It'd take more than 6 months!! :o) The main comparison with Shado is always Farcry, so that'll come up within another post or two.
We really liked Shado and took it onboard as our main CMS as a result. It's not perfect for everything - it's a commercial product so there is a price to that, but we really like it. Would your client need Shado though? How many users will they have and what kind of content will they be managing? Anybody got any experience with Shado or Shado MX? I am looking for a good CMS for my client and was demo'd Shado at CF-Europe this year. After a few initial hiccups (hardware) the demonstration looked quite good. Now I could develop a bespoke one myself but I don't have a spare 6 months.
