Richard, As is said to you when we looked at the site before this site aint gonna scale with these page render times, you've got to try and introduce some caching.
You're fighting a losing battle otherwise Alex -----Original Message----- From: Lovelock, Richard J [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: 03 December 2003 11:53 To: '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' Subject: RE: [ cf-dev ] Timeout/Restart what happens with any search pages or similar? for instance our site map page probably takes 30-60 secs i think? _______________________________________________________ * Regards, Richard Lovelock Westminster City Council - Web Support Cap Gemini Ernst & Young Southbank 95 Wandsworth Road London SW8 2HG ( 0870 906 7482 _______________________________________________________ -----Original Message----- From: Alex Skinner [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: 03 December 2003 10:38 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: [ cf-dev ] Timeout/Restart You should have that on but what are the page render times under load, 1-4 seconds ?, you want to make sure that you set it significantly high enough, maybe 20 seconds. Alex -----Original Message----- From: Lovelock, Richard J [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: 03 December 2003 10:31 To: 'cflist' Subject: [ cf-dev ] Timeout/Restart Guys Following on from yesterdays mail about server problems... Looking in the CF Admin settings, is it advised to have the "Timeout requests after x seconds" selected and what is an advisable time? Ours is currently unselected. AND, is it advisable to have the "Restart at X unresponsive requests" checked? Ours is checked but apparently requires the "timeout requests after x seconds" to be checked, which is unselected. _______________________________________________________<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> * Regards, Richard Lovelock Westminster City Council - Web Support Cap Gemini Ernst & Young Southbank 95 Wandsworth Road London SW8 2HG ( 0870 906 7482 _______________________________________________________ ======================================================= This message contains information that may be privileged or confidential and is the property of the Cap Gemini Ernst & Young Group.
