I haven't upgraded my browser recently and until it was intermittent over
the last month or two until now.Other sites where I have used it are OK with
the same machine.

I've uploaded the examples page here (watch the wrap)

http://www.brcweb.co.uk/siteobjects/soeditor/lite/docs/index.cfm?method=exampleone

Does it work for anyone else?

Any pointers appreciated, but I will be investigating the Support forums as
well.

Have you (or your clients) upgraded recently from IE 5.X to IE 6 ?
If so, look if there is a DOCTYPE tag for XHTML in the editor's source -
take this out and IE6 will then run in "non-standards mode" and it should
start working again.

HTH,
Chris.

Subject: [ cf-dev ] SO_Editor_Lite problem

Hi All,

I have a site that uses SO_Editor_Lite that has been running for 12 months
plus without a prob.

Recently it has been giving some intermittent problems with the WYSIWYG not
appearing and plain Textarea containing the HTML with a Submit button. The
intermittent has now got worse and it is now constant.

I suspect this is it running in a form of "Safe Mode" as it can't download
the applet, but now it seems to be doing it constantly. Its a shared hosting
environment on CF4.5 under IIS 5.0.

Has anyone else come accross this, and any suggested solutions?

TIA

paddy
