yes - John is right here - it could also be some Spyware or something that can take control of your error messages - I had this recently at home - i was going to a search engine instead of getting the 404 error page but this would still suggest an error in your code.

A browser hijack perhaps?

I've seen that when those nasty people install stuff in your browser so if it can't find requested page/domain then it does the search for whatever.

i think it may be, im not to sure, whenever i press submit, the page gets
redirected to a searchengine page called www.perfectnav etc...., it may be
how do i check if its an internal error, and would you know how to rectify
it?
