Well here is my requirement in its simplest form:
The swf is loaded by a 3rd party app, I want to replace the swf with one I make instead, but it needs to call some Win32 API (or any DLL).
I am betting that it won't be possible.
I would say more than likely not, given that its a major security no-no to be accessing stuff on a client machine from a client-side app like flash etc.
I have to say, that when a client asks for stuff like that, they get a flat out "NO!", then I discuss with them what they really want.
I would say that Sam's Director approach is more acceptible, but I'm still inclined to see what it is that the client is really after. Do you really want a standalone application that tinkers with someones PC
