if you're just changing location with document.location.href, no form
variables will be passed. you'll have to submit the form properly. remind
me again, why aren't you just putting 'modrep_results.cfm' as the form
action parameter? if this form gets submitted to itself a few times, then
use the javascript to change the form action for the final submit:

 <input type="button" value="Search"
onClick="document.DropDown.action.value
='modrep_results.cfm';document.DropDown.submit()">

Sorry should have explained. I can get the submit (button now i've changed
it) to go the modrep_results.cfm page.
The problem is that none of the form variables now exist.

I don't understand why?
I can't really pass them as URL parameters as they don't exist until the
form has been passed back to itself a few times.

Help !
