I came over to CFMX from ASP (classic). I'm not really fussed on ASP.NET at all. I like the way it's almost seemless to develop webforms as easily as winforms but the postback for changes shit me and the whole thing just seems a bit too complex to mod for custom specs. Fast to develop using standard controls but a PITA for developing your own (JS heavy) custom controls.

the boss here is starting to regret using CF for the redevelopment of his windows apps here because it's at a much lower level to what he's used to (proprietry 4GL). While ASP.NET might be faster in the short term, as soon as something trick comes up, I know that getting my hands dirty with CF code will sort it.

Nah, I'm not changing back to MS stuff...at least not until I have to.
